2019 Bellebonne Vintage Cuvee
Made from a blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. Pours with a frothy white mousse which slowly subsides to reveal a pale straw coloured base that has pale gold tinged edges. An exceptionally fine bead threading its way through the core. Intense aromatics of baked bread, citrus and yeast lees followed by hints of pear and brioche drift through the olfactory senses. Delicious pear, citrus, baked bread and yeast lees flavours make a pillowy entry onto the mouth watering palate. Subtle cashew and ginger elements are also evident. Nicely sculptured by crisp acidity it has a long dry chalk tinged finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Other Reviews….
A 2019 vintage sparkling of 60/40% chardonnay/pinot noir from Pipers River; 100% barrel ferment and 100% mlf. A very solid vintage in Tasmania. Pale straw with elegant white peach, grapefruit and green apple with underlying hints of crushed stone, almond blossom, brioche, enoki mushroom broth and a gentle wisp of freshly cut fennel bulb. Seamless with stunning tension, clarity and a sense of filigreed grace. Plenty of subtlety, plenty of awesome. Drink by 2033.
