2019 Ashbrook Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Produced from 40 year old vines with small quantities of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc included in the blend. Ageing took place in French oak barriques for a period of 12 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Intense blackcurrant aromas infused with a mixture of black olive and cigar box characters are followed by some dried herb and spice notes. Medium bodied the palate features red to black currant and red liquorice fruits over lightly toasted vanillin cedar, tobacco and spicy dried herb elements. Fine grained tannins finishing with an amply fruited medium to long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
