Sensational value given the depth of fruit on show.

Sourced from The Riversdale vineyard planted in 1997, this excellent blend was matured for a period of 10 months in a combination of new and 1-2 year old French oak barrels.
Inky black dark red core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Elevated red to black currant, plum and mulberry scents intermingle with cedary tobacco, black olive and spice notes. Rich blackcurrant and plum fruits are dispersed evenly across the medium bodied palate and show an appealing textural generosity. Subtle cigar box, earthy black olive and infusions of bay leaf chime in on the back half. Excellent depth with sturdy yet fine grained tannins concluding with a long aftertaste that has a moreish quality to it.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 14.5%

Other Reviews….
This may be a value-for-money wine, but if you know the bright history of cabernet malbec blends from Frankland River (think Houghton Jack Mann), it should come as little surprise that the combination of region and blend here make perfect sense. Dense, concentrated fruit is packaged with fine, shapely tannins and really good length of flavour. This is a little pocket rocket. Highly recommended. Drink by 2028.
