30 Mile wines are produced by John Quarisa who is probably best known for his Johnny Q label. During his extensive winemaking career John has picked up some of Australia’s top awards including the Jimmy Watson and Stodart trophies.
Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Fresh and inky the nose tosses up a mix of crushed berries, plum and liquorice followed by subtle spicy oak and pepper notes. Medium bodied with a supple mid palate feel, generous dark cherry, liquorice and plum fruits meld into toasty characters, inky earth and spice elements. Finishes dry and fresh with polished tannins and medium length.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
