Matured for 11 months in older French oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a purple red hue. Aromas of dark raspberry, plum and liquorice mix with graphite like overtones, scorched earth, fresh herbs and pepper. Medium weighted the palate has a flavour profile of dark cherries, liquorice and dark raspberries backed by scorched earth, crushed rocks and peppered herbs. Bright acidity and sturdy tannins provide focus and structure. Medium length finish.
