2018 Salomon Estate Finniss River Braeside Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured for 18 months in small French oak barrels, one third new. Impenetrable midnight black colour with a deep dark red black hue. Sailing through the nostrils are aromas of blackcurrant which intermesh with liquorice, cigar box, black olive, dried herb and spice notes. Rich blackcurrant and liquorice fruits have a prominent earthy cigar box like background with some black olive and spicy dried herb characters also chiming in. Robust tannin structure with a medium to long yet grippy conclusion.
