2018 Mermerus Chardonnay

A beautiful expression of a fuller bodied style of Chardonnay.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a glimmer of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Elevated aromas of ripe peach are married to dried honey and cashew with notes of biscuity nougat, faint lemon butter and spice also evident. Engulfing the rich, creamy textured palate are flavours of ripe peaches and dried honey which sit over a back drop of biscuity nougat, cashew, traces of bacon fat and spice. Excellent intensity with just the right amount of acidity in support. Ripe peach, dried honey, cashew and spice characters linger long into the aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
