2018 Le Pigeoulet Vaucluse

A blend of 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 5% Cinsault and 5% Carignan produced by Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe of Chateauneuf du Pape fame. Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Fragrant red to dark raspberry, wild cherry and red liquorice scents infused with fresh herbs are followed by light earth and pepper. Delicious spicy red raspberry, cherry and red liquorice flavours are underscored by infusions of fresh herbs, traces of earth and pepper. Lively acidity gives the finish some bite. Polished tannins with a delightful fresh red fruited aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
