2018 Domaine Marcel Deiss Zellenberg
Co-plantation and co-fermentation of Riesling (40%), Pinot Blanc-Pinot Gris-Pinot Noir (40% combined) and Auxerrois (20%) aged in large old barrels for 12 months.
Bright straw colour with a watery hue. The nose expels lifted aromas of baked pears, Jonathan apple, rosewater and honeysuckle followed by some spicy ginger notes. Rich pear, baked apple and honeyed quince like characters overlay a spicy ginger back drop. Luscious like texture finishing dry with good freshness and a long spicy aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
