This is also quite firmly reduced, and I would again suggest decanting this if you're going to try a bottle young. More interesting are the slightly less concentrated but finer with delicious medium-bodied flavors that exude a subtle salinity on the more complex and persistent finale. Worth a look provided you intend to cellar it for at least a few years first so that the nose can better harmonize. Drink from 2025+.

Allen Meadows - Burghound

2018 is their third vintage since recuperating three ouvrées of old vines, originally in a poor state. Dense rich purple colour. Intense nose suggesting firm structure. Still very primary fruit notes, reminiscent of summer pudding with attendant good acidity. Firm style.
