A blend of 97% Shiraz and 3% Grenache, this is a modern styled McLaren Vale Shiraz that shows good flesh and freshness and is not overly weighted.
Impenetrable inky black in colour with a very deep dark red black hue. Liquorice and ripe blackberry aromas jump out of the glass followed by some dark plum, vanillin cedar, light fennel and pepper. Lavish blackberry, black cherry and liquorice flavours decorate the palate underscored by lightly smoked vanillin cedar, earth and pepper. Rich, polished feel with nicely integrated velvet like tannins and a balanced freshness. Solid depth with a generous medium to long conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

Immediately appealing with its juicy fruit, licorice, mocha and eucalypt flavours. Pure essence of the Vale with vitality and freshness; it spends 8 months in seasoned French barrels, no need of new oak as the fruit tannins add structure. It has its own groove. Drink by 2026.
