2018 Clarence House Estate Pinot Noir

Clarence House Estate’s small vineyard is located just north of Hobart on a perfectly positioned north-east facing slope. The talented Anna Pooley from Pooley wines the contracted winemaker. 2018 was an excellent, warm vintage producing full flavoured but balanced wines.

A delicious, supplely textured and richly flavoured Tassie Pinot.

Semi translucent dark red colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Fragrant violet top notes meld into ripe strawberry and cherry scents followed by some anise, infusions of fresh herbs and spicy cedar. Delicious spicy ripe dark cherry and strawberry flavours have a supple expansive feel with nuances of anise, lightly toasted cedar, fresh herb infusions and subtle forest floor characters present on the very long finish. Outstanding power wave with nicely balanced fresh acidity, silky smooth tannins and a long delectable aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
