2018 Chateau Canon Chiagneau

A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Totally opaque black dark red core with a dark red hue. Ripe blackcurrant aromas infused with earthy tones are married to toasty cedar and spicy black olive notes. Rich and quite ample in its body weight, ripe blackcurrant flavours infused with black olive are overtaken by charry oak and earth elements on the back half lingering well into the ripe mid length finish. Firmish tannins provide the framework. Toasty aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
