2018 Armstead Estate Roxy's Paddock Shiraz

Inky black core with a deep dark purple black tinged hue. Intense liquorice, ripe black cherry and blackberry scents waft from the glass mixing with vanillin cedar, fennel and pepper along the way. Leaning towards the fuller side but not as heavy or flamboyant as the 2016 vintage, the medium to full bodied palate has a rich serving of black cherry, liquorice and blackberry fruits which have a luscious feel. Mildly toasted vanillin oak, fennel and pepper elements ensue. Sturdy yet finely grained tannins lend some finesse to the long almost refined aftertaste.
