2018 Antonio Madeira Tinto
Matured in used French oak barrels for 18 months. Impenetrable black as night colour with a deep dark red black hue. Aromas of black and morello cherries, cassis and liquorice are followed by scorched earth, vanillin oak and peppery black olive like notes. Ripe morello cherry, liquorice and sour plum like flavours are underscored by vibrant acidity and firm chewy tannins. Scorched earth, spicy leather and pepper characters linger in the background. Bright, robust aftertaste.
