2017 Simao & Co. Wines Old Vines Shiraz

From vines planted in 1919 at Taminick vineyards with 50% whole bunch inclusion. Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Ripe dark cherry, plum and liquorice aromas are overlaid by a combination of dried clove and earth with spicy dried herb end notes. Medium bodied juicy plum and ripe cherry flavours fill the mouth over a back drop of liquorice, earthy vanillin cedar and spicy dried herbs. Finely grained well integrated tannins compliment the smooth mid palate feel. Savoury medium to long spicy plum, ripe cherry, subtle liquorice, earthy vanillin cedar and dried clove aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
