2017 Naked Run Hill 5 Shiraz Cabernet

A blend of 65% Shiraz and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon matured in a mix of new and older French oak barriques for 20 months. Very deep dark red black colour with a dark red hue. The nose exhibits liquorice, dark plum and blackcurrant aromas which are overlaid by smoky vanillin cedar, earth and spice. Medium bodied with generous yet relatively elegant flavours of liquorice, spicy dark plum and blackcurrant overlaying a back drop of smoky vanillin cedar, earth and pepper. Fine grained tannins, good freshness and a medium length conclusion.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
