Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Perfumed aromas of violets, dark cherries, strawberries and anise sail through the nostrils followed by forest floor, hints of meat and spicy cedar. Elegant and silky in its feel the savoury palate is decorated with spicy dark cherry and strawberry fruits which show ample power over a subtle anise, forest floor, cedar and dried herb back drop. Very smooth velvet like tannins with a long moreish finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 13%

Other Reviews….
Multi-clone mix, standard Moorooduc vinification. Good colour for this and its siblings; red and black cherry fruit plus spices; the balance and varietal expression is very good. There are characters akin to whole bunches (none used) which are very enjoyable - presumably just the vintage speaking. Drink by 2030.
