2017 M.Chapoutier Tournon Mathilda Chapoutier Shiraz

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a bright dark red hue. Blackpepper laced aromatics of black cherry, liquorice, dried meats, scorched earth and black olive emerge from the glass. Medium to full bodied and possessing ample fruit richness, the palate is flooded with black cherry and liquorice fruit which gives the wine a fleshy feel. Vanillin cedar, earthy dried meats and blackpepper elements ensue. Sturdy yet velvet like tannins with a medium to long finish.
