2017 M.Chapoutier La Ciboise

Deep dark purple black core with a bright purple red hue. An elevated bouquet of dark raspberries, plum and liquorice laced with smoky incense drifts through the nostrils followed by crushed herb and light spicy pepper notes. Juicy and spicy the palate is decorated with freshly crushed ripe raspberries and liquorice over a back drop of scorched earth, subtle infusions of incense and pepper. Lively finish with slightly drying tannins and a medium length aftertaste.
