2017 Domaine des Perdrix Gevrey Chambertin Premier Cru La Perriere

Aging takes place 100% in traditional Burgundian 228 litre barrels for a period 15 months with 30% being new barrels.
Dark red in colour with black shaded edges and a red to dark red hue. Fragrant scents of red cherries infused with a mix of rose petals and fresh herbs blossom out of the glass trailed by some red currant, earth and spicy cedar notes. Light in body the palate is elegantly flavoured with bright red cherry and red currant fruits which overlay an earthen background of dried herbs, leather and spicy cedar. Fine grained tannins with a medium powered yet savoury conclusion.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
