2017 Domaine Bachelet-Monnot Maranges Premier Cru Clos de la Boutiere

Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a bright dark red hue. Red cherry and red currant scents are complexed by some earthy overtones with notions of spicy cedar and subtle fresh herb notes also evident. Light in body and a touch rustic in style, savoury red fruits meld into earth, cedar and spicy fresh herb nuances. Dryish finish with grainy, slightly rugged tannins, excellent freshness and an earthy red fruited aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.5%
