2017 Cape Mentelle Chardonnay

Bright straw colour with a glimmer of green to the edges and a watery hue. Nosing serves up intense aromatics of ripe peaches, apricots, honeycomb and light butterscotch over toast, cashew, nougat and spicy lemon butter end notes. Rich ripe peach and apricot flavours laced with honeycomb decorate the mouth underpinned by toast, butterscotch, roasted almonds and spicy nougat. Full, creamy textural feel finishing with well balanced acidity. Excellent power with a long richly textured aftertaste of peaches, subtle apricot, honeycomb, subtle butterscotch, cashew and spicy nougat.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
