2017 Akarua Rua Pinot Noir

Dual trophy winner at the Sydney International Wine Competition for best Pinot Noir and best red wine. Deep dark red black tinged core with a bright purple dark red hue. Fragrant ripe dark cherry and red strawberry aromas overlaid by violets are followed by faint anise, stalky fresh herb like elements and spicy forest floor notes. Delicious dark cherry, plum and wild strawberry flavours fill the mouth underpinned by subtle anise, stalky fresh herb like elements, forest floor and spicy cedar. Supple textural feel finishing with vibrant acidity and velvety tannins. Excellent power wave concluding with a long moreish aftertaste.
