Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Intense aniseed and black cherry aromas fill the nostrils with some vanillin oak, scorched earth and peppered dried meat notes also evident. Rich, amply weighted and lush, aniseed and blackberry fruits are underscored by toasty vanillin oak and peppered earth characters. Opulent mouthfeel with velvet like yet sturdy tannins providing structure. Finishes with a lingering aniseed and toasty vanillin oak aftertaste.
