Named for the natural springs supplying Royal Brackla, this whisky spent over five years in ex-bourbon wood followed by nearly three years in ex-Oloroso sherry casks. The result is a moderately sherried, contemporary style with a spritely character, initially green and grassy before the sherry introduces some lovely orange spice cake and zesty peel notes. More expressive with each taste, developing impressive depth and drive at the finish, this vibrant Brackla still has a few rough edges, smoothed out by minimal water. 283 bottles produced. 58.7% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... Nose: Delicate dried fig, toasted oak and soft orange marmalade. Palate: Spiced marzipan, gentle plum and warm leather. Finish: Classic sherry notes linger with toasted nut and subtle orchard fruit.
