2016 Three Hills Eva Marie

Brilliant pale straw colour with a distinctive shade of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Pronounced citrus and grapefruit scents intermix with grassy asparagus notes, hints of bees wax and subtle gun flint. Texturally full yet racy the palate is layered with citrus, grassy gooseberry and light grapefruit flavours. Herbaceous asparagus, subtle pencil shaving characters and flint lie underneath. Dry crisp finish with a long intense aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

The white Bordeaux blend of 56% semillon, 38% sauvignon blanc and 6% muscadelle is enriched by both the mouthfeel and flavour of barrel fermentation and maturation, although no details of vinification supplied. The cool southern Three Hills Vineyard produces a very different structure than further north in Margaret River. Drink by 2024.
