2016 Tedeschi Capitel San Rocco Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red hue. Aromas of black plum, dried cherries and liquorice are tied to earthy dried herb like notes followed by some spice. Full in body, rich black plum, liquorice and dried cherry fruits overlay earth, dried herbs, notions of new leather and spice. Firm tannins carry the opulent fruit and lead into a slightly dryish medium to long finish.
Cellar 5-6 years.

A Valpolicella Ripasso that effortlessly combines ripeness and elegance. Fine blackberries, ripe plums and cocoa powder on the nose. The bright acidity and the supple tannins are beautifully integrated on the palate. Long and silky, dry finish. Drink or hold.
