Matured in new and old oak. Outstanding colour saturation displaying an impenetrable inky black dark purple hue. Elevated aromas of dark plum, freshly crushed blackberry, blueberry and liquorice overlay a subtle meatiness with pepper end notes. Very fresh and youthful the palate has flavours of blueberries, plums and liquorice followed by vanillin cedar and spicy pepper. On the finish there’s vibrant acidity, slightly chalky tannins and a modest aftertaste of freshly crushed blueberries, plums, liquorice, vanillin cedar and spice.
