2016 Pedestal Chardonnay

Fermented and matured in French oak for 8 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish highlights around the outskirts and a watery hue. The nose displays terrific intensity with nectarine and peach aromas melding into dried honey, gun flint infusions, subtle cashew and nougat. Medium bodied flavours of ripe nectarines and pears tinged with a hint of grapefruit reign over gun flint infusions, biscuity oak, dried honey and spice. Finishes dry with good freshness. Long aftertaste of nectarines, fresh pears, gun flint infusions, subtle dried honey and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years.
