2016 Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard Old Apple Black Chardonnay

Matured for 10 months in French oak of which 30% was new. Brilliant pale straw colour with a light greenish tinge to the edges and a watery hue. Refined aromatics of white peaches, dried pears and dried honey overlay cashew and a faint whiff of struck match stick. Medium bodied with a lightly creamed mouthfeel the elegant palate features flavours of white peaches and pears gently laced with dried honey and cashew characters followed by a touch of spice. Clean dry finish with good balanced fresh acidity. Aftertaste of white peaches, pears, dried honey, cashew and light spice.
