2016 Moores Hill Cabernet Merlot

Opaque dark red black colour with a bright purple red hue. Mulberry and red cherry aromas run into some tobacco, black olive and stalky notes. Light to medium weight with an elegant mouthfeel, flavours of red currant and mulberry are to the fore over some vanillin cedar, stalk and spice. Dry, slightly chalky tannins give the wine a sense of austerity on the back palate. Vibrant youthful acidity with an aftertaste of red currant, mulberries, spicy vanillin cedar and stalk.
Cellar 4-5 years.
