Sourced from a combination of Montalto’s vineyard sites at Red Hill, Main Ridge and Tuerong, the Pennon Hill range of wines are made in a more ready to drink style. Maturation took place in French oak barriques and puncheons of which 30% were new for a period of 9 months with lees stirring building texture.

A beautifully crafted Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay.

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Aromatics of white peaches and dried honey are married to biscuity oak with cashew and hints of spicy nougat following on. Elegant with an understated level of concentration, creamy in texture and long, the palate is filled with white fleshy peaches, ripe nectarine and dried honey flavours overlaid by cashew finishing dry with spicy nougat infusions. Finely tuned acidity provides just the right amount of freshness without encroaching on the textural feel of the wine. Long refined aftertaste of white peaches, dried honey, cashew and spicy nougat.
Cellar 3-4 years.
Alc 13.2%
