2016 Higher Plane Forest Grove Chardonnay

Matured in French oak for up to 9 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with a greenish tinge around the outskirts and a watery hue. The nose reveals aromas of white peaches, nectarines and dried honey over subtle flinty matchstick infusions and spicy nougat. Light with a feeling of freshness across the palate, elegant flavours of white peaches, nectarines and flinty matchstick characters are followed by some citrusy nougat and mineral. Clean dry finish with vibrant acidity. Aftertaste of white peaches, nectarines, flinty matchstick characters, light cashew and mineral.
Cellar 3-4 years.
