2016 Haldon Chardonnay

Matured in French oak for 2 years. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Pronounced ripe peach and honeyed scents intermix with hints of bacon fat, light butterscotch, nougat and spice. Full, very rich and creamy in texture, mouthfilling flavours of honeyed ripe peaches, butterscotch and nougat engulf the palate overlaying a back drop of toasty oak, cashew and spice. Broad expansive feel showing excellent concentration and depth. Soft acidity with a long creamy aftertaste of ripe peaches, honeyed characters, butterscotch, toasty oak, spicy cashew and lingering clove.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
