Barrel aged for 18 months. Impenetrable black dark purple colour with a deep bright dark purple hue. Barnyardy nose with new leather prevailing over the liquorice and blackberry fruit. Earth and spice end notes follow. Medium weight brightly lit dark plum, liquorice and fresh blackberry fruit is overlaid by leathery barnyard characters. Finishes dry with some spice and sharp acidity. Dryish, slightly chalky tannins cut short the aftertaste.
