2016 First Ridge Barbera

Opaque dark red black tinged core with a dark red hue. Drifting from the glass are spicy dark plum and cherry aromas which are trailed by liquorice and earthy incense notes. Well weighted the juicy palate is filled with dark plum and ripe dark cherry flavours which meld into liquorice, subtle earthy incense infusions and spicy vanillin cedar. Slightly dryish tannins with an otherwise opulent feel to the dark fruits. Bright acidity with a spicy medium to long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
