2016 Douglas Laing & Co. Provenance Miltonduff 8 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

This very affordable Miltonduff reads like a relatively rich expression for an 8 year old; "decadent" even, according to the label notes, with a finish that mimics the smell and taste of freshly milled malted barley. 385 bottles were decanted from a single refill hogshead. 46% Alc./Vol. Non-chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... Nose: vanilla buttercream and strawberry jam, followed by warm malt loaf and walnuts. Palate: Rich and decadent, with pronounced caramel tart, hazelnut praline and milk chocolate. Finish: Medium-long, lots of what came before with a late gristy, cereal quality.
