2016 Chateau Meillac Bordeaux Superieur

Chateau Meillac, is located on the site near to the town of St Romain la Virvée.
A blend of 85% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. Very deep black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Prominent blackcurrant aromas rise from the glass trailed by earthy tobacco, black olive, spicy cedar and subtle leather notes. Medium to full in body rich blackcurrant and liquorice fruits are carried by a sturdy tannin structure with elements of scorched earth, black olive and spicy cedary tobacco characters lying underneath. Dry, firmish finish with the robust aftertaste showing good depth.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
