A new discovery for us, this superb bold Heathcote Shiraz is produced by Tom & Emily Kinsman utilising fruit from four premium vineyards running North to South along the Heathcote fault line. The vineyards are located in the Colbinabbin (30%), Toolleen (20%), Heathcote (15%) and Kimbolton (35%) districts. Maturation took place in mostly older French (65%) and American (35%) oak barriques for 20 months. Only 20% of the oak was new.

A rich, high octane Heathcote Shiraz with a blockbuster finish that draws comparisons to Wild Duck Creek’s Springflat Shiraz.

Dense inky black core showing tremendous depth of colour with a dark red black hue. Potent ripe black cherry, liquorice and blackberry aromas are intermeshed with vanillin oak, earthy leather, fennel and spicy dark chocolate notes. Large scaled, rich and decadent the mouth is engulfed with voluptuously textured blackberry liqueur, liquorice and black cherry fruits which overlay a vanillin oak, scorched earth, subtle leather, spicy fennel and pepper back drop. Ripe sturdy tannins firm up the finish a touch. Outstanding power and concentration, the long aftertaste both bold and lavish in nature.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
