Dense black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced aniseed, blackberry and liquorice allsorts aromas penetrate the olfactory senses with some toasty vanillin oak, fennel and pepper notes also present. Densely concentrated with rich, lush fruit, the blockbuster palate is bursting at the seams with aniseed, blackberry, black cherry and liquorice flavours which have a thick voluptuous feel across the mouth. Sitting beneath the lavish volumes of fruit is toasty vanillin oak and fennel. Finishing with a burst of spicy pepper, it has velvet smooth tannins, outstanding power and a long lusty aftertaste that’s dominated by liquorice.
