2015 Summerfield Merlot

Totally opaque dark red black core with a very dark red hue. Aromas of dark plum and ripe blackcurrant intermix with hints of dark chocolate and liquorice followed by vanillin cedar and faint spicy tobacco. Medium to full bodied with a plump mouthfeel and abundant rich blackcurrant, dark plum and liquorice fruits sitting atop infusions of dark chocolate, lightly toasted vanillin cedar and spice. Velvet smooth tannins. Aftertaste of spicy ripe blackcurrant, dark plums, toasty vanillin cedar and subtle dark chocolate.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
