2015 San Filippo Le Lucere Brunello di Montalcino
Totally opaque dark red black colour with a very dark red hue. Elevated and complex the nose throws up aromatics of spicy red currants, dark and dried cherries, earth, dried herbs, tobacco, black olive and spice. Exceptionally concentrated and rich the palate is blessed with red to dark currant and dark cherry fruits which are infused with mint and dried herbs. Earthy tobacco characters, black olive, leather and spice are also present. Firm yet well integrated tannins provide some grip to the finish and impart a sense of chewiness to the mouthfeel. Good fresh acidity, superb power and a long rich, rustic aftertaste.
Cellar 8-10 years.
Alc. 15%
Decadent aromas of ripe fruit, such as plums and peaches with black truffles and porcini mushrooms. Full body, with layers of ripe fruit and round and chewy tannins. Lots of chocolate and fresh mushroom at the finish. A thoroughly terroir-driven red. Try after 2022.

Effusive aromas of black currant, blueberry, violet and iron mark this expressive red. Supple and harmonious, with a firm backbone of tannins that are refined and integrated. Shows terrific length and complexity. Best from 2023 through 2043.
