Matured for 28 months in new and American oak. Dense midnight black heart with a dark red hue. Sailing out of the glass are ripe blackcurrant and mulberry scents infused with mint. Beautifully integrated vanillin cedar, light tobacco, subtle earth and spicy dried herb notes then ensue. Rich blackcurrant, liquorice and mulberry fruits have a plush feel as they fully engulf the palate. Lying underneath are vanillin cedar, earthy tobacco and infusions of bay leaf. Superb power and concentration with a sleek tannin structure and long expressive finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.8%

Other Reviews….
There's no doubting the quality here, although spending 2 years in French and American barriques, 50% new, makes a strong statement. A riper style, with plush tannins – but some grip, too. While it will continue to age well, start enjoying it now, while it has a balance of fruit. Drink by 2030.
