2015 Georges Duboeuf Chiroubles Beaujolais

2015 was a great vintage in Beaujolais producing wines with greater weight and fruit richness than most other years. Displays excellent depth with a dark purple black core and a bright dark purple hue. Aromas of macerated dark cherries and plum are overlaid by inky earth like notes and spice. Light to medium weight and spicy the palate possesses good richness with juicy dark cherry and plum flavours overlaying a back drop of inky earth with a dry spicy finish, bright acidity and slightly chalky tannins. Aftertaste of juicy dark cherries, plum, inky earth nuances and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
