2015 Escarpment Pinot Noir

Deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Perfumed nose with violet top notes melding into ripe dark cherries, dark plum and anise with some underlying toasty cedar, forest floor and spice. Bordering on medium weight the palate is flooded with spicy rich dark cherry and dark plum flavours which meld into anise, some toast, forest floor and traces of herbs. Fine grained tannins have good underlying structure. Excellent power wave finishing with a long spicy ripe dark cherry, dark plum, anise, toasty oak and forest floor aftertaste.
