2015 Douglas Laing & Co. Old Particular Single Cask Talisker 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Independent bottlings of Talisker are almost unheard of. Hence, this Old Particular may even have some appeal to collectors. It's just ten years old, but Diageo's annual 'Special Releases' have highlighted just how good young Talisker can be. The style here should be like a stripped back and souped-up official 10 year old. Expect a whisky with a mouth-coating, oily texture, layered with coastal brine, damp ash, orange rind and peppery peat. In short, West Highland single malt at its most expressive. A decade maturing in a single refill hogshead yielded 356 bottles. 48.4% Alc./Vol. Non-chill-filtered.
