2015 Buckshot Vineyard The Square Peg Zinfandel

Totally opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Scented aromas of black raspberries, liquorice, dark plum and a dash of ripe blueberry overlays vanillin oak, a hint of earth and spicy pepper end notes. Bold flavours of spicy black raspberries, liquorice and dark plum fill the juicy textured palate underscored by notions of blueberries and subtlety earthed vanillin oak concluding with a burst of white pepper. Ripe, slightly chewy tannins and vibrant acidity provide ample structure. Excellent length with a long spicy black raspberry, liquorice, plum, blueberry, vanillin oak, subtle earth and white pepper infused aftertaste. A vivacious Zin with plenty of spice and pepper.
