Matured in French oak hogsheads for 21 months. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Lifted ripe blackcurrant aromas meld into some mint, vanillin cedar, tobacco and spice. Dense and chewy with rich blackcurrant flavours to the fore, a wallop of vanillin cedar then overtakes the finish with traces of mint and spice also evident. Dry grippy tannins. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, prominent spicy vanillin cedar and mint.
