2015 Amelia Park Cabernet Merlot

Aged in French oak for 12 months. Opaque dark red black colour with a vibrant purple red hue. Aromas of ripe red currants and mulberries are overlaid by dusty cedar characters with hints of black olive and spice following on. Medium bodied the palate possesses good mid palate richness with red and blackcurrant flavours mingling with ripe mulberries over dusty cedar characters, hints of tobacco and spicy bay leaf. Dryish but fine grained tannins provide a sturdy framework. Medium to long aftertaste of red and blackcurrant, mulberries, spicy dusted cedar, tobacco and bay leaf.
